A 21-year-old man sadly died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.
Anyone who saw a blue Ford Focus and red Vauxhall Corsa in the Nutley area between 8pm and 8.40pm that evening is also asked to come forward.

Staying safe in the countryside On Saturday, PCSO Park and PCSO Thompson patrolled Ashdown Forest following a report of loose cows - we suspect that the gate was potentially left open by a member of the public.
Here are a few general tips to make sure walking in the country stays safe for you, those around you and of course, the animals:
- Plan your route! Know where you’re going to go before starting out and stick to the footpath.
- Not too close. Give the animals plenty of space, and they probably won’t even notice you’re there.
- Keep dogs under control around animals.
