Arrests
There were 16 arrests made across Wealden last week.
Rural Burglaries
PCSO Brashill met up with the Chair of Council and Cllr for Withyham on 24th Feb to discuss the rural burglaries we've seen over the last few weeks.
In addition to targeted patrols, local rural crime officers have engaged with the rural community further by distributing signs and posters in hope to raise awareness around safety when walking through fields which are occupied by cattle.
Always remain AWARE, be PREPARED and be RESPECTFUL.
We encourage local communities to report any suspicious activities to us at the time by calling us on 999 if you think a crime is in action. For non-emergency dial 101 or submit a report via our website.
All reports help to build a picture of localised crime, and help to deter and prevent crime in your area.
Op Notify
Op Notify patrols continue with officers out and about across the district.
Community Engagement
![]() PUT YOUR HANDS WHERE WE CAN SEE THEM!
Skippers Hill Prep School in Five Ashes received a visit from a local officer recently, to talk about good and bad choices.
They learnt about their unique fingerprint, and were able to create their own ink print to take home with them!
However, what they were most excited for was being able to get into the Police car with the lights and sirens on
There are certainly a few Police Officers in the making here!
Stolen vehicle, recovered!
We received a report on the 21st Feb that a vehicle had been stolen in the early hours of that morning.
Despite CCTV capturing the theft - we were unable to identify the suspect.
Thankfully, the vehicle was found abandoned in Eridge on the 24th - and has since been recovered for forensic analysis.
