London group jailed for Seaford burglary

A London group have been convicted for burglary following an incident in Seaford.

 

Bank cards, cash and a number of electronics were stolen during the raid.

 

Acting on intelligence, police quickly identified the vehicle they attempted to escape in, and following a pursuit, the car crashed, where they were all arrested.

Scam talk Lewes

 

Earlier this month, officers visited St Thomas Court in Lewes to give advice to the residents a scam talk making them aware of the different scams we have been seeing and responding to within across the district.

Following a number of recent scams and frauds reappearing in both local and national news, officers from your Lewes Neighbourhood Police popped by to help promote ways in which both residents, and their loved ones can stay safe.

 

Increasing scams include both door step, and courier scams, both of which involve scammers reporting to the be police, postal officers, or delivery drivers; praying on elderly and vulnerable members of our community, and are responsible for thousands of pounds lost each year across Sussex.

 

Lewes Police are committed to raising awareness, and protecting those most vulnerable to fraud, and continue to hold scam talks all over the district to help advise people on the common signs to look out for, and to share our top tips on how to prevent falling victim.
